Warren's Latest Scheme: Demanding Gun Export Data Is Just the Start of Her Anti-Gun Agenda

April 7, 2026

Well, well, well. Here we go again.

Elizabeth Warren and Representative Greg Meeks have sent a letter to the Commerce Department demanding they hand over detailed information about semi-automatic firearm exports since January 2025. They're asking about everything from rifles and pistols to shotguns and accessories - who got what, where it went, and how the government tracked it.

Now, I don't have a problem with transparency. If some guns are ending up in the wrong hands overseas, that's worth looking into. But let's be real about what's actually happening here.

This points out something interesting - during the Biden administration, they supposedly halted new export licenses to assess "diversion risk" in 2023. Yet Mexico wasn't even on the list, even though investigators say most guns traced to the U.S. in Mexico were legally sold to their military and law enforcement. Hmm. Sounds like corruption on the other side of the border might be the real problem.

But Warren doesn't care about that. She's got her sights set on something bigger - your gun rights here at home.

Just weeks ago, she introduced legislation targeting an Army-owned ammunition plant in Missouri. Her bill would stop the sale of "military-grade bullets" to civilians - which is just regular ammo like .556, .762, and .50 BMG. And if that wasn't enough, another provision would prohibit any company that sells firearms to the military from selling "military-grade assault weapons" to you and me.

This is classic anti-gun politics. Take an international problem, blame American manufacturers, and use it as an excuse to restrict what legal gun owners can buy here. It's the same playbook they've been running for years - just new packaging.

If Democrats take control of Congress this fall, you can bet this legislation moves to the top of their priority list. They'll wrap it in rhetoric about stopping cartel violence, but the real target is your Second Amendment rights.

The question is whether the Trump administration will actually provide this data - and whether they'll stand up to this obvious attempt to build a case for more gun control. My bet? Warren is hoping this creates enough " ammunition" (pun intended) to push her agenda forward, regardless of what the data actually shows.

Stay informed, folks. These are the fights that matter.
